Here's just a few pointers to hopefully get things started here.
The following points should be considered before you decide to use any company.
1. Ask to see some of their current client's websites and a demonstration of how they are performing in the search engine rankings 2. Ask them to talk you through strategies they use. There is no secret method so don't be fooled by claims of that nature 3.Look for companies that focus on building your content using original content on relevant subjects 4. Search for them. A lot of information can turn up from a simple Google search on a particular company. I have had personal experience with a company who claimed to get you to no.1. Funnily enough now however, is that the company in question rate very highly when you do a search for them for a website who expose them for the crooks they are. 5. Ask them if they would be happy for you to talk to another client of theirs.
There are many do's and don'ts for seo optimisation. I would welcome any other suggestions.
